Trust.Zone Features
In spite of being a newly established company, Trust.Zone offers some interesting and important features, such as:
- 1- Kill switch
- 2- 3 Simultaneous connections
- 3- P2P sharing
- 4- Single-click connectivity
- 5- The ability to monitor your traffic usage
Trust.Zone Kill Switch
Enabling this feature further secures your data from being exposed if the VPN connection is cut off for any reason, so it acts as an extra layer of data protection. This is definitely one of the best and important features a VPN should have.
3 Simultaneous Connections
Trust.Zone allows its subscribed users to connect to its servers from 3 different devices at the same time, for example, you can use the VPN on your laptop and your mobile phone at the same time. However, this feature is not available to free subscribers.
P2P Sharing
P2P sharing is permitted by Trust.Zone VPN. Therefore, Trust.Zone users can easily share data through torrent clients while being protected by VPN.
Single-Click Connectivity
As previously mentioned, Trust.Zone’s VPN client is extremely easy to use and you can connect to any server in just one click.
Monitor Your Traffic Usage
Trust.Zone again impresses us with their transparency policy. This time by allowing users monitor their data usage and speed each time they are connected to a certain server. In this way, users will be able to identify the faster server to get the best out of Trust.Zone VPN.
Security & Privacy Policy
Trust.Zone VPN supports only two 256-bit AES encryption protocols, which are: OpenVPN and L2TP/IPsec. Even though it is generally better to support different layers of security to meet everyone’s needs, but Trust.Zone has chosen the best and most secure encryption.
Being based in Seychelles gives Trust.Zone the benefit of not having to comply or abide by any data retention laws. This ensures that your browsing activities and personal data will not be monitored or traced by anyone, not even the government. Furthermore, Trust.Zone VPN state on their privacy policy section that they do not keep any logs.
” All our VPN servers around the world ARE NOT storing any log files to keep your privacy safe. All the usage data is anonymous and not connected to your real, public IP address.”
As for personal data, the registration process only requires putting in your email address, which can be fake. Therefore, you needn’t worry about your personal details being stores. As for payments, they accept Bitcoins which is the safest when it comes to maintaining your privacy online.
On another note, Trust.Zone VPN has a “Warrant Canary” to show whether they comply with any judicial orders. This is another proof that Trust.Zone VPN respects transparency with its users.
Servers and Bandwidth
Trust.Zone has a total of 107 servers scattered 50 “zones”. This means that one location could host more than a server. Trust.Zone’s network of servers are located in several important & popular countries, including but not limited to: UK, US, ITALY, FRANCE, GERMANY, SOUTH AFRICA. BELGIUM, GERMANY, RUSSIA, POLAND, FINLAND, SPAIN, UKRAINE, SWITZERLAND, ROMANIA, HUNGARY, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, BRAZIL.
Trust.Zone provide unlimited bandwidth to all its packages expect for the free trial subscription, which is limited to 1GB only.
Trust.Zone Client for Windows
We have subscribed to Trust.Zone VPN free trial service and tested the software on our Windows system, and here is how it went:
First of all the registration process is extremely easy, all that is needed to do is provide them with am email address. Afterwards, you will receive an activate email for your free trial.
As for the software it was easy to install, but it was bigger in size (aprox. 30MB) than most VPN softwares we have tested before.
The software interface is simple, clear and well-developed. It is very easy to use and it only requires 1 click of a mouse to connect to a server.
We tested the UK server and accessed BBC iPlayer which worked perfectly. The streaming was seamless and we didn’t experience any buffering. However, after a few hours, the connection became completely unstable which was annoying.
Customer Support
Trust.Zone VPN relies on e-mail ticket service which is not even available 24/7. They have an F.A.Q, troubleshooting and blog sections on their website. In general, we find their support service quite poor.
Conclusion
Trust.Zone VPN is a worthy competitor against other leading VPN providers. We were happy with the features they provide, even if they are not extremely advanced, but it’s a new provide and it is doing quite a brilliant job so far. Their transparency is another plus, they are very honest about the service they provide, such as: free trial details and the canary warrant disclosure. We think that their support system needs a lot of improving.
