Setting Up IKEv2 VPN on Windows 10 (Manually)
Follow the steps below in order to successfully create a new IKEv2 VPN connection on your Windows 10 system:
1- Head over to the bottom left corner of your screen, and then click on the Start button.
2- Click on Settings.
3- Next, select Network & Internet.
4- From the menu displayed, choose VPN.
5- Click on Add a VPN Connection.
6- You will then be required to fill in some information in their specific fields as follows:
A- VPN Provider: choose “Windows (built-in)”.
B- Connection name: add in a name for your VPN connection.
C- Server name or address: insert the server name or IP address of the location you want to connect to.
D- VPN type: select “IKEv2”.
E- Type of sign-in info: Username and Password.
F- Username: enter your VPN username.
G- Password: enter your VPN password.
H- Remember my sign-in info: Checked (Check, if you want to save the username and password for future. If not, then leave it unchecked).
Connecting to IKEv2 VPN Server
Now that you have saved the settings of your newly created VPN, it is time to connect to it by following the steps below:
1- Select your VPN connection (from Network and Internet > VPN).
2- Click on Connect in order to activate your VPN connection.
3- You will notice that the status has changed to Connected. This means that you have enabled and activated your VPN connection.
