On Windows 8.1 move the cursor to the top or bottom right corner of the screen and click on “Search”.
Search for “Internet options”.
In tab “Connections” choose “add VPN”.
Enter (de.waselpro.com) as the Internet address and Destination name
Then click “Create”
Now choose “Connections” and click on “Settings” and on the next window on “Properties”
From tab “Security” select VPN-type” “Layer-2-Tunneling-Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPsec)” and click on “Advanced settings” Select “Use preshared key authentication” and enter “sharedsecret” as key.
Click “OK” and “OK”
To connect move the cursor to the top or bottom right corner of the screen and click on “Settings”
Click on the “Network” icon
Choose the name of the connection you’ve just created (de.waselpro.com)
Enter your username and password and click “OK”
Now you’ve successfully connected L2TP VPN on Windows 8.1
