In this tutorial, we will show you how you can configure L2TP and PPTP VPN on Padavan firmware in simple steps. By using VPN through Padavan firmware, you will be able to secure your internet connection for many devices when connected to the internet. In addition, you will be able to get access to geo-blocked content without being detected by firewalls or ISPs.
Setting up L2TP VPN on Padavan Router
Follow the steps below to correctly setup L2TP VPN on your Padavan firmware.
1- Type in the default gateway IP address to log into your Padavan router’s control panel. Just insert http://192.168.1.1/ in the URL strip of your browser, and then enter your username and password.
2- Head over to the menu on the left and click on the VPN Server tab.
3- Next, click on the VPN Client tab located at the top of the menu bar.
4- Click Add a profile in order create a new VPN profile for your connection.
5- Adjust the VPN Profile Settings by filling the specified fields as follows:
*Enable VPN Server: make sure it is “Enabled”.
*VPN Server Protocol: L2TP.
*MPPE Encryption: MPPE 128.
*Broadcast Traffic: make sure it is “Disabled”.
*VPN Client IP Pool: 192.168.1.251-192.168.1.254
*Username: insert your VPN Username (usually your email).
*Password: insert your VPN password.
*Auto-reconnection (if available): Set it to “Yes”.
*VPN Server: Enter one of the hostnames listed here per you needs
6- Click Apply.
7- Now that you’ve created a profile, you can establish your L2TP VPN connection.
Setting up PPTP VPN on Padavan Router
Follow the steps below to correctly setup PPTP VPN on your Padavan firmware.

2- Head over to the menu on the left and click on the VPN Server tab.
3- Next, click on the VPN Client tab located at the top of the menu bar.
4- Click Add a profile in order create a new VPN profile for your connection.
5- Adjust the VPN Profile Settings by filling the specified fields as follows:
*Enable VPN Server: make sure it is “Enabled”.
*VPN Server Protocol: PPTP.
*MPPE Encryption: MPPE 128.
*Broadcast Traffic: make sure it is “Disabled”.
*VPN Client IP Pool: 192.168.1.251-192.168.1.254
*Username: insert your VPN Username (usually your email).
*Password: insert your VPN password.
*Auto-reconnection (if available): Set it to “Yes”.
*VPN Server: Enter one of the hostnames listed here per you needs
6- Click on Apply.
7- Now that you’ve created a profile, you can establish your PPTP VPN connection.
