How to Allow VPN through eScan Firewall (Method #1)

Follow the steps below in order to stop the Antivirus from blocking your VPN connection on your system:

1- Launch the “eScan Protection Center”.

2- From there, go to “File”, and then click on “Antivirus”.

3- Next, click on “Reports”.

4- Now, locate your VPN application (e.g: bVPN), and then click on “Add to Whitelist”.

How to Allow VPN through eScan Firewall (Method #2)

Follow the steps below in order to stop the Antivirus from blocking your VPN connection on your system. This method is for more advanced users:

1- Move your cursor to the red shield icon, and then click on “Pause Protection”.

2- Next, open “CMD.EXE”, and then open “eScan.bat”.

3-  Open “EUupdate.iti”.

4- In the “DirectBlockAVC” entry, set the value to “0”. In case you cannot find entry “DirectBlockAVC”, add it to the [Config] section, and then reboot your system.

By applying those changes, your antivirus program will now prompt you whenever an application is detected by the “Protective Monitor”.

How to Allow VPN through eScan Firewall (Method #3)

Follow the steps below in order to stop eScan Antivirus from blocking your VPN connection on your system. This method is for expert  users only as this method will permanently stop eScan from monitoring registry :

1- Move your cursor to the red shield icon, and then click on “Pause Protection”.

2- Next, open “REGEDIT.EXE”, and then traverse to:

64-bit system –> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MicroWorld\eScan for Windows\MwMonitor

32-bit system –> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroWorld\eScan for Windows\MwMonitor

3- Now, in the “RegMonitor” entry, set it to “0”.

4- Finally, reboot your system.

Congratulations! You have successfully stopped the Antivirus from blocking your VPN connection.
